Pleasant Staff, great location and view .Hotel does need some updating ie new carpets hall ways and reception area and decorating throughout. Room was ok other than cracked sink ,rusty bath ,marks on the wall dated furniture but room was fine for a 3 star .The view was amazing had superior double room with sea view .Breakfast was nice ,coffee was luke warm.Saying all that for the price felt it was value for money for the view .
We have had numerous visits to the St Ives Bay hotel and as always never disappoints. Superb friendly staff and Dan always goes above and beyond. Looked beautiful when we left as trimmed up for Christmas parties.
We will return again.,
All the floorboards were really creaky and doors did not shut quietly. Breakfast was not that great as very greasy. We were really lucky to have a room with a sea view and it was a convenient base as were only there for one night. Comfortable for a short stay.
For the payment the stay was very good.
Hotel has a great position in St Ives, I even had a sea view. But I felt the hotel was in need of updating, it was like going back in time to the 80’s from the bathroom having the old style mixer tap shower to the tick box options for breakfast.
Don’t get me wrong for the cost I’m 100% happy

We had a wonderful time, but the property was very tired, this included the decoration and facilities. The breakfast was delicious.
When we arrived there wasn’t anyone on reception, had to go and look for someone to check us in. The first room we were put in was awful, so we asked to change, second room we tolerated, but still not nice, we stayed out of the hotel so we didn’t have to spend time in there.
The breakfast was absolutely disgraceful, also no one about for us to check out, will definitely not be returning… the hotel was nothing that is ahown

Not bad for one night, but needs to be cleaned properly ! Hairs found and loads of dust in the room
Probably the worst place i have ever stayed. I had to leave my car on double yellows for 20 whilst trying to find someone who could check me in. The poor night porter was rushed off their feet tending to coach loads of the turkey and tinsel brigade. Why they didn't more staff??? The room was up a dark smelly staircase directly above the toilet. The room itself was dirty with a broken tap, mouldy shower, tv that you couldn't turn down, no chair and absolutely no chance of wifi or a mobile sign. Breakfast wasn't much bet. As someone that has chosen not to eat animal based products my only choices were beans on toast and nuts and fruit. This place was cheap but still overpriced for the conditions. Staff were brilliant and friendly and helpful
The room didn’t look like it had been hoovered, the walls definitely needed a coat of paint. The shower door didn’t shut from the inside as there was no handle so the floor got wet. No soap in dispenser for sink. The bed was clean and the cup of tea appreciated, the pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable. The room just looked in need of a good clean and coat of paint .

Easy walk into St Ives (good healthy hike!) and fantastic sea views from dining room and some rooms.
