I stayed in room 1123 and the back of the property needs cleaning there were old bottles from water bottles that was littered around.The location is great but seems management is over working the little staff they have available.The food I at at the Caribbean restaurant haven was salty.There need to be more Caribbean style foods on the menu.The chefs needs to be more innovative,lots of the foods are from a can.Expected more fresh island fruits and vegetables.The restaurant that I wanted to go to was always fully booked.I think the kitchens are way too small and not designed to facilitate the capacity of the amount of guess.Management seem to be stressing out staff having a slave like mentality.Staff are also under paid and lack proper training.Just walking down on the beach and seeing how the sandals is managed one can notice the obvious difference

This property is beautiful and clean and the staff was friendly but lacked any sense of urgency. The drinks were good when you could get the bartenders to stop talking to each other and acknowledge you . The problem with this property is the dining. Choices are slim and reservations hard to get at convenient times. The lunch food truck serves under cooked meat that I believe made me sick for days. Be cautious of this if you stay here. It is a great property but for the price they charge they need to do better with food options and quality.

To begin, the entire experience from the moment upon arrival to leaving was entirely seamless. We were given a welcome drink and led to lunch as our room was prepared and by the time we were done everything was ready. The room was clean and they made sure to keep it that way by cleaning daily. My husband and I were visiting to celebrate our anniversary and we left feeling celebrated and taken care of. On the actual day of our anniversary, it’s as if it was communicated to the entire facility and they made sure to accommodate accordingly which made it feel even more special. We had also booked a spa service and as someone well versed in the industry (an esthetician myself) it was the best experience I’ve had. Very punctual with their service and the service from the staff was phenomenal. Everyone is super friendly and goes above and beyond!!!! My husband and I agreed it was the best massages we’ve ever had. The food was AMAZING. I was extremely confused to see mixed reviews about the food but I loved all the options especially Hunter Steakhouse. I saw that people experienced longer wait times but this was not my experience at all. There is a food truck and buffet if you’re looking to get faster food which was so nice! We were fortunate to be there while it was their Independence day as well and they made it such a fun celebration! As well as a buffet of their dishes that were delicious. Already planning to come back!!! Thank you :)

The property’s name was recently changed to Royalton but the property itself is not new. It’s in great condition and for the most part well kept. Upon check in, the mini fridge was not properly stacked and there was a brown paper bag in it. Evidently left by the previous guest, which means the room was not properly checked/cleaned before we checked in. We were traveling with friends that booked an ocean view room. When they checked in, they were given the ground floor directly in front of the pool. They spent 1 night in the wrong room type but were changed to the right room/view the next day. Outside of those two mishaps; the stay was good! All staff members that we encountered were friendly and accommodating. We dined at Vespa and the Italian restaurant next to it. Food was ok but we had to wait over an hour for the food to come out (6 of us so that may have been the issue). Overall we had a good stay!

I loveeeeeeee this resort and i don't understand people's who said the food is terrible, the food is amazing, and the restaurant manager Bradley is a terrific human that goes to the moon and back for their clients, so does everyone at that resort, my only issues with the resort is that is the Caribbean please play Caribbean songa not salsa, if i ever go back to Antigua this ia the only place im staying

The room service food needs to improve. They sent us the wrong order twice. The chicken sandwich was always overcooked; basically burned. We tried to order a pizza and they said the cut off time to order pizza is 11pm. But room service is 24hours? Housekeeping can use some work as well. We left our room at 11am and didn’t return until 7pm and our room wasn’t cleaned so I tried calling the front desk to ask for clean towels at least and nobody answered the phone. So I ended up having to leave the room to go to the front desk. No apology but stated someone will bring us towels. It took an hour for the towels to come. I then asked to speak to a manager; I received no call back from the manager who was supposedly not there at the moment. The staff at the pool were great but overall I wouldn’t go back to this resort.

The property is new and very clean. The staff members especially the "Vibeteam" did a great job keeping guest entertained with what they had. Shout out to them especially the ladies!!!! Queens! They were friendly helpful and cheerful every day all day... The pool needs to be open all day as does the bar. Its an adult resort!!! Bars shouldn't close! Lol The vendor at the truck by the pool Ms Dionne was so comforting and pleasant to talk to. Her food was so good. Check her Taco Truck out! I would like to shout out the front desk workers and staff too. The drivers as well were on point and made us feel safe on our tour. The food was good. Could have had a little more of a selection especially for those who do not eat meat. And could use some turkey bacon and sausages as well. The entertainment was cool. Definitely could use more excitement for guest each night. Such as comedy night movie night PJs night.. but the DJ was slamming either way and kept the guest dancing. Also the dancers were super cool to vibe with. Ms Mary on the beach was helpful!! She saved me. She got me a dress for our white affair and she had all the souvenirs you need for a good price. She was a gem and Queen local to meet. I would definitely stay at the Royalton again. Cant wait to visit the one in St Lucia. Also shout out to Mario who gave us some great tips and info about the island and things to do on the resort. He shared being from NY as well. Thanks Expedia for a trip booked without any issues.

This hotel is situated on a beautiful beach. Rooms were comfortable and modern. Breakfast and lunch buffet was delicious, lots of variety. Dinner options need to cater to those who love more flavour in their food. Generally an excellent location and experience but more care should have been taken in cleaning the sargassam in the morning on the beach shore.

The resort has many nice views and features throughout. I enjoyed the different dining options at the resort. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful with any questions I had. Enjoyed the different options to have lunch or dinner. Special shoutout to two baristas Ashana at the Sublime Swim-up bar and Estella at the Taboo Lounge. These two baristas make drinks very well. Also the team at Grab2Go truck. For a good burger go to this place at the resort. Things to improve at the resort is choices of music. Play more Caribbean music throughout this resort. Also have daily activities in the late evening as well. Overall great experience.

The property had false advertisement for the room that I booked. I paid for an ocean view and got a pool view room. After many attempts to get the proper room or refunded for what I paid for an ocean view I was told that they weren’t going to do anything after moving me to a room that was above the pool view room I initially got that. The second room was just a better view of the POOL which is not what I paid hundreds of dollars more for. Horrible customer service for the people at check in

I picked this property to share with my best friend for our birthdays. The first night we stayed there our room was robbed and they took almost 700 dollars between the both of us. Let me explain. Upon arrival to our room 1217 i noted that the key fob didn’t work, our refrigerator was warm and the safe didn’t work. Immediately went to the front desk to fix the room key thing and report the other two things. Normally I would have waited for the safe to be fixed but we had a large party of friends there and we left with them to go to Shirley heights. It was there last night there and MY birthday. So we wanted to have fun and go with them. So we didn’t wait. The bus left at 4pm We changed and left to meet the bus at like 3:50 It’s important to note I didn’t have a need to open my suitcase because all my stuff I needed was in my carry on in case my suitcase didn’t make it. We left and return to our room looking shook. Upon further investigation we saw that they took money from me and my best friend. The thing is they thought we could come back drunk, or that we would t notice they took money from both of us because they took some not all. We sat there in shock and then call for the manager. We reported the events and time they they occurred. They took our report and asked if we wanted to report it to the police . Yes! So instead of being outside with our friends, we were giving statements into the early morning . No one offered anything to us. There is more! See the comments.

A few of the staff members like Shakida,( best bartender ) MK ( signature hookah) Akeila ( friendliest waitress ) Ranjae,( Diamond pool) Rashown, ( great entertainer) Jun(taxi driver) Salwa ( front desk ) Shereese ( butler ) Ersa( awesome ) we’re exceptional. However, everyone else was not inviting at all. Nobody says good morning unless you initiate the conversation. Nobody asks you if you need anything, it’s like pulling teeth to get your room cleaned or mini bar restocked. The swim out pool on the Diamond club side was a joke. You can’t swim anywhere. There’s beach chairs full of people and 3 feet of water. Very disappointing. This hotel was advertised as being a “new” hotel and it isn’t. It’s very dated in my opinion. You can tell it was a newly renovated hotel. But lacked in appearance. The amount of money we spent to stay here definitely wasn’t worth it at all. I’ve stayed at numerous properties, including Royaltonchic punta Cana and this property was by far the absolute worst. The food was terrible ! I was also asked to pay my bill a day prior to me checking out of the resort because it was over $800. Which by the way I had a card on hold and there was never any mention of a “ cap” or maximum you can spend before you have to payout. I’ve never had this happen to me ever. Customer service sucks here!Outside of the staff members mentioned above some training needs to be done. I will NEVER return to this resort. Royaltonchic Antigua is horrible !!!DO NOT STAY HERE
