We booked because of the reviews .not sure the reviews were accurate. the only good thing was the bed was comfortable we got there late 8:00pm. The elevator was out of order so we had to lug our suitcases up to the second floor. We are not young so this was not an easy task .

Property was quiet and felt safe. The elevator kept alternating between working and not working, making our third floor room sometimes challenging to get to (bad knees). But overall, the property and room was clean, and pretty nice. Amazing, being just off the highway and near to busy shopping, that it was so quiet.

Beth checked us in. She was phenomenal. Friendly, welcoming, professional, efficient. Room was clean and pretty much as expected. AC worked well but very noisy. Shower temperature was good, but pressure a little on the low side. Breakfast was horrific. Rock hard biscuits, gravy looked like the inside of a diaper, and the scrambled eggs had the texture of construction paper. Convenient location to STL airport. Perfectly fine for a night.

Ok for the price, I guess!
Beth at the front desk was WONDERFUL! So nice and very informative. Pool was clean but area very dreary. Breakfast extremely basic with few healthy options. Coffee was good.

The hotel itself was very decent. BUT getting into and out of the main entrance was an entirely different matter -- the cigarette smoke is very thick. When I told the desk clerk when we were checking out that he/they needed to find a different place to smoke, he got angry and defensive. That's their official smoking area and where they tell both staff and guests to smoke. Using the stairwell doesn't help, because it comes out exactly in the same place. The desk clerk even told me, among other things, that "you don't *have to* breathe" when he was complaining that I had coughed when going through the smoke cloud. He concluded with, "I hope you don't come back to this hotel." Don't worry. I won't -- ever.
