Great stay at a lovely property
First, the host was extremely accommodating and helpful. Really appreciated her. The property was just as described and in very good shape. We enjoyed the pool and the back yard immensely. The location was central to most of the areas you’d like to see on the island. We really enjoyed the property being close to Sibs. Great place to eat and go for a cocktail. We would definitely recommend the property and wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.

Amazing quiet getaway
This was a great spot for a quiet getaway to St. Thomas. It was centrally located so you weren't far from any attraction, restaurant, activity or beach by more than 40 min. The property itself was lovely and quaint and full of character. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting.

Great spot
Not far from lots of great areas on the island however, taxis didn’t seem to recognize Mafolie Estates versus Mafolie Hotel.. we often walked down to local spot Sibs for rides or waited outside the gate (gated community requiring pin for entry). No big deal. Host was absolutely wonderful & accommodating! Would certainly recommend this house for a stay!

Loved the property
The yard was gorgeous. There were more perks then expected with this property. I would recommend cutting back the trees in the circle of the drive way as there was not much room to maneuver around for the turn. I would also recommend another box fan to help move cooled air out of the bedrooms. Other than that the stay was very nice. We were even able to invite local family over for dinner with just a quick text to Tammy so we were not breaking the rules. We would definitely recommend this property and use in the future. The bar Sib’s down the street was a fun place to have drinks.

Magen's Bay Hideaway
Upon arrival, there was no hot water, no internet and no cable access. It turns out that the gas for the water heater was empty and there had been a local cable outage in the area. All things were corrected the second day. I must say that James, the caretaker, and the maid were very nice and helpful. You should let guests know that there is an elementary school across the street. During school days, from 8 AM to 3 PM, it can be quite noisy. When the maid had cleaned prior to our arrival, she had put mothballs in all of the drawers and cabinets; kitchen, both bathrooms, both bedrooms and hall linen closet drawers. It left an overwhelming smell. The maid, on our request, removed the mothballs and scrubbed the kitchen drawers and cabinets the next day. But the smell lingered the remainder of our week. During our stay, I changed several light bulbs and had to re-light the gas water heater pilot light twice. Recommendations; 1. Have some fold up beach chairs that guests can take to the beach. (We left two behind as a gift to the house.) 2. Have a toaster in the kitchen. 3. Use small roach traps instead of moth balls. (We also left those behind for the house.) Recommendations for the property manager; 1. Before your guests arrive, check that there is gas for the water heater and that the water is hot. 2. Check that the internet and cable are working. 3. Do a check on the orderliness of the house. With the above taken care of, we generally enjoyed our stay, Peter Buermann
