Boasting the most breathtaking views of any vacation home in Steamboat Springs, this special property is designed to provide an authentic mountain vacation experience, where families and friends can make memories in an unparalleled setting. Also, please note that for winter 2024-2025, the homeowners have invested in ski lockers, right by the two Gondolas, to make your ski day that much easier. Simply ski to the base, drop off your skis & boots, put on your regular shoes, and enjoy some Apres Ski food and drinks. No need to lug your gear back and forth to the car!
The Property:
First, we really need you to know - photos just can't show you how amazing the views are, and they can't match the feeling you get when you spend time here. It really is breathtaking, and this home is so welcoming, so warm, you're going to remember this trip forever.
The Bella Visa Lodge is one of 3 homes on the Estate's grounds, but it is the only one available for short term rental. The Lodge has over 5000 square feet of space to enjoy, and that's just the indoor space. This includes a Great Room, a Game Room, a Living Room, and a Den. Your group will have 5 private bedrooms. Each bedroom has either a King, a split King, a Queen, or 2 Queen beds. The two rooms with split King beds can be set up as a King or as 2 Twin beds. There's also a sleeper sofa in the den. So, the bedding situation works great for any group, whether you have a close knit group of guys or gals who need their own beds, a group of couples who want to cuddle on a cold night, or a mix of couples, singles, and kids. Each bedroom has its own dedicated bathroom, and the fifth bathroom is accessible directly from Bedroom 5 as well as from the Den. There is also a half bathroom off the Game Room, and of course there's a mud room and laundry room too.
The kitchen was recently renovated, and is equipped for large groups. For example, there are 2 dishwashers, 2 crockpots, and not only are there two coffee makers, but there are also 2 coffee carafes, something you just might need for your corporate retreat in the mountains. These are only a few examples of how the kitchen and the home itself are great for groups both large and small. The dining area seats 12 and has a bank of windows to let you enjoy the incredible panoramic views. In the summer, you'll want to take advantage of outdoor dining, and there's more than enough dining tables for groups of 14 to dine together out on the deck. Adjacent to and adjoining with the kitchen and dining areas, you'll find a living room that includes 2 leather sofas and a wood burning fireplace. Together, they create a nice large space where your group can gather.
The Great Room is truly a great room, a place your group will love spending time together. It features large picture windows framing incredible views, vaulted tongue & groove ceilings with exposed beams, and a wood burning fireplace fashioned from real river rocks. This all combines to create a very nice vibe, but this room also includes a full bar, a high top table for 8, a comfy sectional sofa, and a large high definition smart TV. In the Game Room you can shoot some pool, play shuffleboard, or see who can get the highest score on Mrs. Pac Man, while also interacting with everyone in the Great Room.
Lets not forget to mention the hot tub. Some homes have a private hot tub. This one has a Grotto. This room has a bank of windows that allow you to enjoy the panoramic views, so even though the custom built hot tub incorporates boulders and stones, it definitely doesn't feel like a cave. That said, this room definitely is the kind of place where you can relax and feel comfortable, cozy, and protected from sometimes harsh weather outside. Enjoy the best of both worlds!
** Please note:
– No Gatherings, No Events. The 3 homes on the Estate used to be rented together for weddings and large events. Not any more, events are no longer allowed, and the other two homes on the Estate are rented long term.
– Private Pool, Summer Only (Approximately Labor Day through end of September, weather permitting). Don't worry, the pool area is private - it is reserved for use only by guests of the lodge (your group). The long term residents are not allowed to use the pool. The pool is only available and open during the summer months, opening approximately Memorial Day weekend and closing in September, sometime after Labor Day. Please inquire to confirm whether it will be open, if your dates are in May or September.

The Location:
Bella Vista is located halfway up Rabbit Ears Pass, just shy of the National Forest boundary. Keep your eyes open for wildlife. Conveniently located off US Highway 40, but protected from highway noise by a vegetated ridge, you can count on easy access to the ski resort and town, with frequent plowing during snowstorms. The Steamboat Ski Resort parking is only 6.7 miles down the road, and downtown Steamboat Springs is only 8.7 miles. In less than 10 minutes, you have all the conveniences of the city, but get to come home to a truly amazing locale.
Arrival, Accessibility, and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you before, during, and after your stay. We will provide you with arrival instructions, local information, and answer any questions you might have. Accessing this property is easy, though it is not wheelchair friendly. A half flight of stairs (5 steps) separate the entry and mud room from the main level. The main level is split, with the bedrooms, bathrooms, game room and living room 3 steps above the great room, kitchen, dining room, and grotto. The lower level of the home is one flight of spiral stairs below the main level. The parking is outdoor and you'll have space for 8 vehicles. While occupied motorhomes or campers are specifically prohibited, there may be separate onsite parking available for unoccupied trailers. Please contact us prior to booking or immediately after booking to confirm if you will have a trailer. When traveling during snow and winter weather conditions, 4 Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive and tires with good tread are recommended.

** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking.
