Health Hazards and Poor Management at the Hotel Po
The bed sheets were stained upon arrival, setting the tone for our stay. The thermostat in our room was also broken, making it impossible to adjust the temperature for comfort. When we visited the pool and hot tub, it became clear that something was wrong with the chemical levels. Shortly after entering, several members of our party and other hotel guests began coughing. We reported this to the front desk, but the response was dismissive: “It’s just the hot tub jets.”
We also noticed another guest vaping right next to the hot tub, which could have affected the chemical balance. One member of our group experienced shortness of breath and even vomited shortly afterward, while others had bloodshot eyes. When we reported the vaping incident to the front desk, the staff member replied, “I don’t know how to do my job, I’m bad at confrontation. If you want me to say something, I can try, or you can say something.”
The staff showed no concern for the situation, even as guests exited the pool coughing and with visible irritation. Between the stained sheets, the broken thermostat, and the lack of response to serious health concerns at the pool, this stay was incredibly disappointing.
