The front desk and room facilities were fine. When it came to food, the first night dinner was most under whelming fish was undercooked as was the batter and the waiter's only answer was free tea or coffee!! Continental breakfast was little in choice and the fruit still half frozen. Suffice too say we ate elsewhere. Would highly recommend not staying here unless bed only

Overall atmosphere of hotel was great. Easy check in, room was clean and the shower was splendid. Restaurant in hotel was delicious and the service was good. Would definitely recommend or stay again.

I love staying at the talbot hotel. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and helpful 😊. The food in the restaurant is excellent.

We chose to stay at this property as we were visiting friends and dining at a nearby restaurant. There was some initial confusion re our room as I had specifically requested (and paid for) an updated room with a larger bed. I also specified this when the hotel sent me an email prior to our stay. The email was clearly not viewed so I'm unsure as to why they send out such emails when the responses are not viewed. The breakfast was ok but it lacked finesse and the dining room is in bad need of updating. It is very tired looking. The bedroom (refurbished) was excellent and the bed was extremely comfortable. I recommend staying in one of the refurbished rooms as they are clean, modern and well equipped.

Expensive, but quite nice.
The hotel had excellent amenities such as the restaurant and the gym was great. However, it is outside of Dublin and for some reason the key kept demagnetizing this was particularly annoying because they gave me a room in the back of the building so i constantly found myself walking back and forward to the lobby on a daily basis. There is a shopping plaza nearby about 10 mins away which has everything you may need for a longer stay; pharmacy, groceries, McDonald’s!

It was a really nice hotel, very big and staff good, un Friday night they had a wedding reception that had music bearing until 3 in the morning! And the loading of what I assume was the band equipment into a van just after midnight was also right outside our window. It's a big hotel, if you are having a disco till 3 in the morning don't put people who are not attending right above it!
