Only about 100ft away from River with public dock. This 2600 sf early 19th century home with 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms will amaze you with a lot of charms and spaces. The winner of best lodging in delta. Previous names The Bartlett is great place for retreat or small gathering. Located in the middle of delta, Walnut Grove is a historic Chinese and Japanese town. Many restaurants near by. Great for fishing, boating, hiking and relaxing.

Great time with family
The house is spacious witch is nice for family gatherings. The only negative things were the TV gets no stations, basicly a large monitor. I had to connect to it with my laptop to watch Thanksgiving football. And also the pool table is very warped and unlevel, not playable. Other than that the place is very charming and was perfect for what we wanted.

Great location
Functional, not fancy. It worked for our group, as it is a few minutes from Wimpy's Marina where we were attending a concert. Also, steps from a pizza place and ice cream parlor. It could certainly use some updating, but it is clean and roomy, and the host was very accommodating, letting us check in early. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. One thing, for people who do care about TV, is that there is no cable, etc. to watch live TV, but they do have a BluRay and several movies.

Lovely huge house
The house was amazing. The five bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable. We rented the place for a family wedding in walnut grove and enjoyed everything about the house and the town. The host was attentive to all my questions and immediately sent over a service person when the air was not working. We were so appreciative to have a host that cared about the property and the people staying there.

What a wonderful place to stay
We rented this property to accommodate 10 people at a destination wedding in Isleton. The bedrooms were amazing - large enough to enable 10 guests. We loved that it has 4 bathrooms with enough room for all of us to get ready at the same time! The kitchen was huge and the appliances were all in excellent condition. The pool/ping pong table provided lots of entertainment and the living room was huge. We all agreed that we wouldn’t hesitate to rent this again if we are ever in the area!!!!

Quiet and quaint in sleepy town
The house was nicely cleaned and tidy. It has a few minor things in need of repair. Hooks on walls fell off, the doorknob to the bathroom downstairs comes off in your hand. The brita water filter likely needs changing as the water smelled heavy with chlorine even after filtering. I think having a few bottles of water would have been a nice touch. The instructions weren’t clear to arrive on C street instead of B to access the lock. The town seems it’s past its prime as many homes and businesses are shuttered so it was difficult to find a place for dinner that was still open and walking distance. Many were in search for a cook to hire. I hope the town revitalizes as I can see the beauty it once was. Neighbors were very friendly and helpful. We were grateful for our late checkout to get ready for the evening wedding at Grand Islland Mansion.

We stayed here for a weekend summer getaway and cannot wait to be back. Robert the host was extremely hospitable and accommodating. The house is beautiful and extremely well equipped. The location is perfect in a beautiful Community.

Gem in Walnut Grove
Eclectic former Bed and Breakfast that was perfect for hosting familly for wedding at the Grand Island Mansion. Clean and well stocked with ample bedding and baths. Pool table was a nice touch for fun evenings. Owner was timely on all communications.

Bartlett House
We rented this place because it was near a wedding venue that scheduled the same evening on the day we arrived. I'll begin with the positives first. The owner responded quickly to all of my inquiries and allowed us to check in early so we would have time to get ready for the wedding. We found the furnishings quite comfy. Plus, the house decor gives you a sense of what life may have been like on the delta in years past. On the down side, when we arrived we discovered there was no electrical power in the kitchen or any of the bedrooms upstairs. However, the owner did respond quickly by calling an electrician who did resolve the problem. Unfortunately it wasn't in time for us to use the kitchen or take a hot shower prior to leaving for the wedding.

We really loved the location, the game tables, the rooms were almost their own little suites. Perfect location for a family get together!
