The property itself is nice and well maintained. The problem was that the woman who did our check-in does not seem happy with her job. She did not tell anything about the hotel and amenities, which spoiled our two night stay. At check-out, the experience was quite the oposite, but it was too late. Dangerous work (big trees being cut) was undertaken, without any notice from the hotel. Also, our room was in an annex (cosy and charming), which should be clearly mentioned, given the cold weather. Stowe is lovely and this hotel is at the very center of town.

Lynn is incredible! She checked us in and was the sweetest, kindest, most pleasant person! She told us all about the Inn, gave us information about the area and things to do, too. Our room is spacious, yet cozy. Love the fireplace! Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

I’d stay here for the convenience factor as it’s in the middle of town. Nothing happens after 7pm in this town so eat before heading back to hotel.. Nice bar. Bartender Jim was great. Restaurant on site. You’ll need it as really the town is surprisingly small with limited hours of different establishments. 4:00 pm cookies and brownies with tea that was complimentary. I think the property has different buildings so be aware of the room you book. No issues. Nice staff. Room was dated but spotless. The cute coffee, breakfast, and lunch place next door ( adjacent to coffee shop) stole the show with pleasant food and staff. Starbucks and another coffee shop close by. Visit the visitors center for activities. My favorite was the moss glen waterfall. You will need a car to explore adjacent scenic activities. Unless you’re skiing, you might feel isolated at other nearby hotels.

So much history and convenience in the most charming hallmark town. Biggest disadvantage was that we didn’t have a late check out because they were ultra booked in. Our room was fairly small, but that was our fault for not booking a larger option! We would definitely stay here again
