The Trapp Family Resort was established in 1947 when the Maria Von Trapp (Sound of Music) and her family opened a 27 room ski lodge. Today the Resort consists of 96 rooms at the Main Lodge, 100 Guest Houses and 18 Villas -- situated on 2,500 acres in beautiful Stowe, Vermont including nearly 30 miles of groomed ski trails, as well as additional mountain biking trails. Trapp Family Lodge is a unique mountain resort featuring Austrian-inspired architecture and European-style accommodations -- currently managed by Maria Von Trapp's son (Johannes) and grandchildren. The Villas and Lodge offer stunning mountain views, old-world comforts, and impeccable service, along with activities for every season. This Villa at Trapp Family Lodge offers unparalleled elegance and comfort in a private mountain setting. Rate includes semi-weekly cleaning and linen service, as well as all resort amenities.

On the TFL property is a new brewery with Bierhalle restaurant and a deli-bakery, as well as a lounge and fine dining restaurant in the main lodge.
