The breakfast was fantastic, many varieties for guests to choose from, items were replenished immediately when the level is low, attentive staff. The hotel staff was amazing for letting us do early check in and getting a bigger room (great view), also sending us the guest mobility ticket so we can have free transit before checking in, great service! The room is quite spacious, it can get quite hot in the room on the top floor (there is a cooling air condition fan to use - helps a bit).
The Guest Mobility ticket for bus service was a nice and welcome surprise. I used it extensively to get around the area and to return to Salzburg to continue my journey by train.
The secure WI-FI had a very, very poor signal which made it very difficult to use. Fortunately for me, I could use my VPN on the unsecure WI-FI and that worked just fine.
The hotel has a lovely appearance from the outside and the view from our room was nice but check in was cold and abrupt with limited information. We felt we had to ask for information on everything and that we were bothering them. Bright lights shining from outside into the early hours at night, telephone not working so no one to report to. Breakfast not topped up, bar area closed, restaurant lacked atmosphere. Looks lovely but desperately needs some love (including the male server at dinner who was just so so miserable). Room cleaning was bare minimum with just the towels taken and bed made. Not sure why we paid a small fortune to stay here!
A very friendly âfamilyâ hotel where all staff were very friendly and helpful. It also helped that the Town of Strobl has a friendly vibe with everyone out to help visitors have a great time - I certainly did!
We chose Stroblholf, by its location, wanting to experience the local culture.
The staff were dressed in their folk style attire, the food was excellent, and the rooms clean.
In the evening we were entertained by the dining room hearth. The gentleman sang played the Harmonica and accordion encouraging others to sing along as the locals showed off their dance skills. At the end of the small town main road is a crystal clear lake where you can rent boats, swim or walk around the lake on one of the many paths. It was a wonderful experience, and I would go back in a heartbeat.
On arrival the owner welcomed us, even though we were late. Produced a snack for our family. Simply excellent atmosphere and service. Totally recommend this hotel for pleasure or business
Super small family hotel in a delightful village/town. Hotel was clean and comfortable with attentive staff. Plenty of places to eat on a evening after sitting by the lake on the hotels private jetty.
The room is clean and comfy to stay in. It has the cottage kind of setup. Toilet is modern and clean. Hotel is beautifully decorated with pretty lighting. Breakfast is great. Waitress are polite and courteous.
