Clean and well stocked
Location was great. Check in was easy. The cabin was clean and well stocked with all the basics. I’d like to point out that the 3 bedrooms are on 3 separate floors. The basement with the third bedroom is definitely geared towards kids. The sink is low, the toilet is small, the shower is small. The bedroom doesn’t have any bedside lights so it’s super dark getting into bed. There are no tables or surfaces to put things like toiletries or purses. No towel hooks for drying shower towels. The bunk mattresses are super hard and the pillows are the lowest quality. There are no curtains on the huge downstairs glass doors and you can see in when driving by. The blinds in the rest of the cabin, in bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas, are all see through. We had a problem with gurgling toilets and slow draining sinks on the main and top floor. I let the host know. The only tv is small and in the basement. The fireplace is on the main floor but we found seating difficult because none of it is in front of the fire. There were only 3 adults during our stay and we found it difficult to get comfy to relax for the evening by the fire or tv.

Beautiful cabin
This vrbo was so clean! It looked just like the pictures online. My husband enjoyed getting on the AT if even for a short hike. He’s already wanting to go back to do a longer hike. It is a good drive from where we were going in Dahlonega, however, we loved the cabin and it has everything you could possibly need.

Mountain Blessing
If your heart lies in the mountains, this is the perfect place to be. Access to the AT is a few hundred feet away. There is one word that describes The Trail Cabin and that is AWESOME. We have rented the cabin in the spring for the past 12 years so that should be the best recommendation.

Perfect spot to access the AT
We loved our stay at the Trail Cabin. We did several hikes right from the cabin. The fireplace and all the bedrooms were very comfortable. Each of our adult children had an entire floor of the house and we enjoyed being on the main floor! Perfect getaway—-highly recommend!! Will plan on returning!

This cabin was perfect for our grown children, their significant others, and my husband and I. It was easy to get to. It was well-furnished and had everything we needed. We visited Burt's Pumpkin Patch and R and A Apple Orchard during our stay. We highly recommend staying in The Trail Cabin.

Cutest cabin!
Adorable cabin and perfect for our weekend stay to visit surrounding towns. All was good except crickets kept appearing in basement where one of the bedrooms are located. I did tell property manager and he said they would address this immediately. Overall it was a good place to stay.

Beautiful quiet cozy
Cabin was absolutely beautiful and spotless! Everything looked brand new. Kitchen was fantastic. Excellent location. Close to the AT, walk to the AT from the cabin, and other trails, waterfalls, sightseeing, wineries. The AT decor made it so special as I am enamored by hiking on the AT. Thoroughly enjoyed the first fireplace fire of the season for us. The rain dropping on the cabin roof made it even cozier. Host was very responsive and so kind. We definitely will look forward to staying here again. Highly recommend.

Perfect Spot Just off the Appalachian Trail
We loved our stay at the Trail Cabin! From the moment we stepped out of the car - the songs of the Wood Thrushes were fabulous! Loved being SO CLOSE to the Appalachian Trail! We hiked every day! Great for resting, hiking, rock hounding, reading, porch swinging, plant identifying, and being together! Cabin is SPOTLESS! (And I’m picky!) AC was very good. Perfectly appointed kitchen for our needs (2-3 adults). Comfy couch. Very comfy beds. Washer/dryer. Grill. All perfectly as described! Tombo, our host, was responsive, friendly, and helpful. We will definitely return!

Steps Away from the AT
We are return guests for the past 10 years. That should prove to be the best review! The cabin is clean, continually updated, and well supplied. It always feels like “coming home”. If you are a hiker, this is the perfect place for you. You can hike to Blood Mountain from the cabin or just take short hikes on the AT. Three little words describe the cabin… It is perfect!

Our fam of 6, kids 7, 9, 11, 13 had a blast starting the summer over Memorial Day weekend! The trail cabin is quiet, easy to access, comfortable, clean, and within 30 minutes of the best North Georgia has to offer. Super responsive host as well! We’d love to come back for longer day hikes on the AT right from the cabin.
