Better for business
Nice hotel in a quiet part of Tokyo. Room is large for Japan however quite dated and not the cleanest.
There were coffee stains all over the counter on 18 floor (vending machine room).
Floor in room looked like it had not been vacuumed, room was missing a safe, there was lots of debris and hair behind toilet, bathtub looked like it needed additional scrubbing.
It worked for us but we saw better in our own Japan experience.
More of a conference/business hotel than anything
Very hospitable and friendly, excellent breakfast with calm and welcoming atmosphere, not far from the train station to travel out, an overall excellent hotel!
Good hotel with very friendly staff. Very clean, all in all a decent hotel for the price.
Very good connections to the rest of Tokyo, with easy access to the next door shrine and skytree. Senso-ji temple is also easily accessible using the local buses - a must see at night!

I feel like this hotel needs to refurbish the rooms, felt very 1970s. The bedding was old and crunchy feeling, didn’t give a fresh soft comfortable feeling at all. I felt kinda gross laying in the bed. The wall paper was peeling off the wall, room smelled like dust and maybe very slightly like cigarette smoke. The toilet was old, the shower head would not face straight but constantly turn to the wall making it hard to get a good shower. The view is great, the location is great, but I think all the Dai-ichi hotels are stuck in the past and sadly struggling. The staff at this hotel was great too, but I really struggled with this hotel I decided to eat the cost and move to a different hotel 5 days early.

This hotel is near Asakusa temple & Skytree. No English speaking staff led to numerous problems including length of stay, price of room & room keys that did not work. It was also an unhappy surprise at the lack of daily breakfast/coffee. Their own coffee shop on premises was never open in the morning. The area is residential so finding breakfast is not easy…I used Uber to leave the area. I much prefer the Prince hotel chain with bigger rooms, superior Buffett breakfasts and English speaking staff. I would not stay at this hotel again although it would be a good choice if you were attending sumo matches as the stadium is a few blocks away. The television has no CNN or any English channels.
Excellent location for sumo tournament! Very close to subway entrance, but very quiet. Very clean! Would definitely stay again! Comfortable bed and pillows.
Overall the hotel is ok, but facilities are out dated. It is clean. Close to subway. It is a residential neighborhood area. It is inconvenient to the shopping and eating.
Front desk man staff are not friendly and were no smile when I was doing check in. Woman staff on the other hand are very friendly and helpful.
Access to the train stations and Kokugikan was quick and easy. Very good food options available. Very close to two nice and calm parks, one includes a free museum.
