About this property

Bed & Breakfast in a 1795 Log Cabin on working farm, George Washington, Sr Suite

We are a family run bed and breakfast in a restored circa 1795 hand-hewn log cabin decorated with period antiques. The room contains a queen bed w/Beautyrest mattress with the linens provided. In addition to the log cabin walls, the room has hand sewn exposed beams. The bathroom has an enclosed tile shower with towels and toiletries provided. For those chilly mornings the room has heated reclaimed wood floors. If you are interested in relaxing there is a porch with a porch swing and rocking chairs, perfect for a tall glass of sweet tea sipping and just taking in the view of the rolling hills. The room also includes a coffee maker and coffee, a refrigerator and WiFi.

Your stay comes with a locally sourced plated breakfast served at 8:00-9:30am in our on-site dining room. We are happy to accommodate your low fat, restrictive, or vegetarian dietary restrictions. Please give notice when you book your room.

Also we are part of MeadowCroft Farm a 300 acre farm with cattle and sheep. The hill directly behind the inn is a perfect spot lay out a blanket and enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun set or gaze up at the stars.

Peace, tranquillity and history.
We pulled in at 5pm and were promptly greeted by Bill (Judie's husband). He checked us in and gave us a brief tour of the building and the farm. Our room was spacious and well appointed, and the bathroom with the slipper claw foot tub was very nice. It was modern but maintained much of the character we appreciate. Breakfast was excellent, and included an impromptu lesson from Bill on (re)construction of the premises. Unfortunately Judie was under the weather, so we didn't get a chance to meet her during our one night stay, she was easy to deal with over the phone and was attentive to our needs. Feel better, maybe next time.

Great Farm Vacation
We staid in a perfectly renovated 1795 Cabin. The breakfasts were fantastic. The owners were wonderful and easy to talk with. They took a morning to show us their property. They do their own jarring of jellies and pickles that we were able to taste and purchase! It is a great place to get away from the bustle of daily life and just relax on the farm! We will be going back. This is a wonderful experience and we recommend it highly to everyone.
