Paul immediately knew if I were staying two weeks, I would need a better room (for an extra charge). The room he picked for me was perfect - high enough to get sunshine every morning and a balcony for where to have my morning coffee and listen to the world, birds, and police.
The location and the space allowed me to admire Surrey Hills. I will return and recommend this place. It was unforgettable for my first time in Australia.
The only downsides were that there were leaks that caused noise issues. It would have been nice to receive a notice of warning that construction would begin at a certain time of the day. At least put a notice in the elevators.
Also, the doors slams so hard enough that it shakes the walls! I think that needs to be fixed especially for people who are light sleepers.
Overall, Paul, Nim, Alberto, (hope got their names right)and the cleaning staff were kind and generous with their time and efforts. I really admire how they did their professional best to accommodate all the guests. I hope they know they are essential to the success and future of this hotel.
Above all, they represent, reflect and respect the community around them, especially the LGBTQ history that surrounds them.
