The staff were very friendly and helpful and communication was very good. Though the check in desk has limited open hours the staff were accommodating to arrivals/departures outside of those times. The room was nice and clean.

Beautifully restored building with a small number of rooms, close to everything in Ortigia. Check-in starts quite late, but they allow you to drop off the luggage and do some sightseeing (there is also a toilet available next to reception where you can freshen up!). Room was spacious with a bed and a sofa, decent shower and a beautiful terrace with bistro seating and lounge chairs with umbrella. Bed was comfy but had a topper that for me was like sleeping on lava, so something to keep in mind. Staff were friendly and ready to help. Very close to lovely aperitivo bars and some less touristy restaurants that were absolutely delicious.

This is a small hotel on a quiet side street in the middle of Ortigia. The staff was exceptional. They will provide an exceptional room service breakfast at a reasonable cost. The only downside was that our room was on the third floor, and there's not elevator. That said, we'd happily return.

Very attentive and accommodating staff. We were able to drive to location to unload bags, then staff arranged valet parking which is worth the 25euros as the narrow streets can be challenging with a larger vehicle. Front desk staff were very helpful with restaurant recommendations and travel tips. Room was very large and comfortable with modern amenities in a beautiful older building that is photo worthy. Highly recommend this place.

Lia at the front desk is a wonderful host and offered plenty of suggestions for exploring the city. It is very convenient. The property itself was decent, but the air conditioning system had a weird sweet odor (perhaps a dirty filter), to the point I could not stomach to use it. There were obvious areas that had not been cleaned around the baseboards, where I found hair and dust. The valet service was convenient but next time I would just park at the city garage and save the money and wait time. Not sure I would stay here again, but if you are on a budget and want to stay in Ortigia this should be a consideration.

Spent wonderful three nights in theost comfortable Dimore della Zagare, in perfect location near the duomo, with the most lovely, helpful receptionist who speaks perfect english and makes everything easy - but is never pushy. The only thing is that there is NO BREAKFAST

Lovely property and bonus help from staff!
Fantastic property, terrific location. The staff was so helpful when I found a defective tire on my rental car after arriving to Ortigia from Catania. They were able to talk to the Italian Hertz offices on my behalf and also to the tow truck driver the next morning. So grateful for their assistance!
