We were offered a room at front of hotel with double aspect sea/city views or a room to the rear. The latter was bigger and had better shower but as we were only staying one night to be near the early ferry departure point we went for the view. No need to worry about traffic of ferry noise - all windows were double glazed and properly sound insulated. We loved watching the action in the port from the best possible seats. Unfortunately, we had to leave at 6:15 before breakfast started.

Great location. Very comfortable.
The hotel has a luxurious feel in the rooms. Everything is done to a high standard and is extremely comfortable. I had a balcony overlooking the ferry which could be a little noisy at times, but there are thick solid wooden shutters for the windows which keeps out a lot of road noise. There’s a bar and food is available (didn’t eat so can’t comment on food). The location is excellent for access to everything, ferry across the road and restaurants along the harbour wall.
