Overall the actual inside is exactly what you would expect from a Hampton. I only rated the staff down because I specifically asked to be away from the door/elevator and we were 2 doors down. The neighborhood however isn’t great. It’s fenced all the way around but it’s a small parking lot and just not a great neighborhood if you wanted to walk outside of hotel in my opinion.

A problem
Hotel was updated and clean. The electronic card worked, but not my door. The clerk apparently understood the door was an issue, but let me get settled in for the night before I had another potential serious issue with the door before offering to let me move rooms. She should have explained the situation and let me decide up front if I wanted that room. I was settled in with a dog for only one night and it was getting late, so I didn't change rooms, but it was a big problem again in the morning. Grab and go breakfast didn't have any options in it that I could go eat. I have stayed at much cheaper hotels lately that had a free basic hot breakfast. major disappointment in Hampton Inn. The hot and cold water in the room was backwards and mismarked. Last pet friendly at an extra $50 a night is outrageous. Most hotels charge $20. Mine is a service dog, so there was no charge in the end, but $50 wow.

We tried to change our reservation through expedia within 24 hours after realizing we made a booking error on our end. Expedia reached out twice to the hotel and they would not allow us a room change, even though there were available rooms on the night we wanted t change to. Poor customer service means no more customers.

The room has a large bathroom that wa well stocked. The king bed was very comfortable. The television was larger than other hotels for a good viewing experience.

It was just ok. The card reader in our room stopped working and we were locked out of our room twice. We had to repeatedly asks for help from the staff. Pretty sure that the bedding was not changed before we arrived. Sheets and pillowcases had make up and food on them. It was nearly midnight when we finally got back into our room and discovered the dirty bedding. We won't stay here again when we come to Tacoma.

The bed was comfortable if you’re one person but adding another person made it horrible. I couldn’t sleep a wink as the mattress was so soft, I could feel every wiggle from my child next to me. Left the next day with no sleep, feeling horrible and had a 5 hour drive. Remember those ads with the bowling balls bouncing on one side of the bed where the person on the other side sleeps soundly? These are not the beds from that commercial.

The keyless entry was fantastic, loved that we could come right in and settle in for the night since we were out pretty late for an event. although upon getting up and going for the morning, we noticed a bed bug crawling on the bed. after seeing this, we promptly took our things and checked out. seeing as though we only stayed for a night, it was a bit unsettling to wake up to bugs in our bed.

Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Shower stayed warm and good water pressure throughout my shower. Quiet room. Breakfast was good. There are a fair number of restaurants and fast food places within 5 minutes of driving. There was a fence around property which made it feel somewhat safer which was good as the area around the hotel had some people just wandering the area outside of fence line. During initial stay power went out in hotel but was back on within the time it took me to have dinner.

The positives were as follows: the bed and pillows were very comfortable and he room was quiet for a good nights sleep.The complimentary breakfast was great. Now the downside of the room: The carpet and window blinds both had big stains. There was mildew in the shower and the bathroom fan didnt work. There were stains on the wall opposite the toilet.
