Great view, house ok
I would like to start with the positive. The view is amazing and the location is close to things we wanted to see and be near. The house has 4 bedrooms which is nice to fit a family, but the décor is strange, almost eerie in some rooms. The master bedroom is upstairs and has a great view, but the bathroom upstairs is very small and the water pressure in the shower is terrible and the tub gets very slippery. The stove is so antiquated that you really can't cook on it. I tried to make breakfast, and between the stove and the pans, I was so frustrated that I wanted to leave the house. One of the reasons we rent a house is to be able to make our own meals, or at least breakfast, but that is not possible there. There is no toaster, the host has a convection microwave that he has labeled as a toaster oven. Sadly that does not work that way. If you are not planning on making any meals, you will be ok. The knives are dull, I don't recommend using them. The silverware! WOW! To even have that gold plated silver ware that looks like it was hand made, was the most unsanitary thing I have ever seen. The gold was coming off leaving what looked like a led base. No clue, but there was no way we were going to use that. The house was also not cleaned properly. The refrigerator was dirty inside and I had to clean before we could add things. The house has carpet and the host requests that the shoes come off. It is a nuisance to have to remove your shoes constantly. 5 star host? Maybe not!
