Good Hotel for Lazy Persons
Good location so that you can reach the metro, high speed train station, taxi just outside the hotel. You can also go to Shin Kong Mitsukoshi next to the hotel. The room is quiet and you barely hear the noise from the corridor. The price is reasonable.

The hotel is not a standalone building, but situation within another building with the main lobby at L5. Instructions were not given and we had to approach the building's security to find out where the hotel is. Sadly, most of the rooms do not have a window, so be sure to check the local weather before stepping out otherwise you may need to head back in to get an umbrella or change your clothes. The shower area tile grouts are dirty, showerhead height and angle not adjustabnle, and weak water pressure, The toilet bowl is advanced though, very good. If laundry is a key point for you, request for a room on L3. Laundry and dryer (3 machines each) is free. Detergent is payable at TWD 10 per packet.

Pros -. Easy access from taipei main station. It is just next to the mitsuboshi department store. -.Wider room size than our expectation. We just can open a 27” luggage bag. -. Clear than our expectation. -. Convenient store on the first floor. -. Late check & 12 check out was good. Because of the plane arrival time, we arrived at 3AM. But they were kind. -. Very cool air conditioner. Cons -. Can hear who tells outside. -. if i have a child, it can be small.

Everything was fantastic, clean, simple, just suited for solo traveller.Do note my single room was windowless. I would have given an excellent rating if i didnt see a cockroach at the doorway when i opened my door one morning.

The location is good, very near to the metro station exit and near to places to find food. However, the mattress is quite hard. It is laid on top of a wooden platform which is old and creaks upon every movement. The walls of the room are quite thin, can hear the door slam very loudly next door because the rooms are close to each other. Overall I think the experience is ok but can be improved.

Super value for location
This is our second location at mayer inn. Due to its super convenient location we decided to come back again at the end of our stay. It’s located right across taipei main station (z2 exit), right beside shin kong mitsukoshi dept store. Easy to flag taxi from the back or front of the building. Close to so many eateries and even the legendary Liu beef noodle is only 3 min walk. The room itself is tiny but we managed to squeeze 2 big luggages and 2 small ones plus some personal bags. Washroom is spacious and has the fancy bidet. There’s common room and laundry also water refill station. If you plan to explore taipei the whole day like us and only spending time to sleep and wash, this is perfect for you. But if you plan to enjoy your room, perhaps look for another hotel.
