Staff were friendly, helpful and effective. Wealth of facilities. Well known by locals and drivers and yet quiet on the hill with green surroundings. A short 12 hike to central MRT line.

The Grand Hotel has such beautiful and unique architecture, and it’s full of history. The city views are amazing, and the rooms are really spacious and clean. We also enjoyed the meals at the hotel’s restaurants. Definitely recommend!

We like the heated toilet seat and free shuttle bus to MRT station. The hotel is sooo beautiful and historical. The architecture is magnificent. The bed and pillows are firm. Wish it’s softer.

The best thing about this property is the architecture and the views. It’s very impressive, inside and out. My friend and I got a standard room with no windows, so I’m sure the other rooms are better. But for the price, this place was really worth it. We took a lot of photos around the outside with the hotel in the background, and from this hilltop location you can see a lot of Taipei. We had rented scooters, so it also included free parking for motorcycles. Cars have to pay though. I probably wouldn’t recommend this place without a vehicle, unless you don’t mind taking taxis all the time. We stayed for two nights (for the history and novelty of it) and spent the rest of the time in another more convenient area of Taipei.
