I randomly booked this because I thought it would be interesting to say I've stayed at a log cabin at the Dead Sea, and I'm SO GLAD I did. My first trip to Israel, I wanted to do touristy things but stay in a secluded place for part of the trip as well, and this was perfect. It is in a very small village about 25 miles from the main Dead Sea resorts. It is not close to anything but a small grocery store, so be prepared to drive if you don't want to cook (I HIGHLY recommend renting a car!)! The couple that owns the cabins are the nicest, most helpful people I've ever met. If you have a concern about anything at all, they will help you. They even arranged a rental car for us. I cannot say enough good about them! The cabins were clean and looked EXACTLY like the pictures :) I think 5 people could easily sleep in one cabin. The only warning that I have is to MAKE SURE YOU CONTACT THEM BEFORE GOING! I made the mistake of just thinking I would find them from the bus stop, but I now know that would be impossible. All you have to do is call, and they will come pick you up (I did not have international service on my phone so a nice woman on the bus called for me). Otherwise, everything was perfect. We are definitely planning on returning soon and will most likely stay there every night and just drive everywhere else. It's that great!
