I had originally reserved two rooms for the evening of November 6, checking out on November 7.Three days before heading on our trip to Tampa I called and realized that the date I needed was check-in November 7 and check-out November 8th. So I changed the date on the phone and was assured that the hotel would have our rooms available for the new/corrected date. When we arrived around 11pm on the 7th at the hotel, they did not have the change and was completely full. After calling around we discovered there was a number of events in town and everything was fully booked. We ended up at "Downtown Motel". Instead of getting two rooms we secured one room with two beds and the four of us "slept" in the same room. This motel was very rundown and in a questionable area of town. Three women (ages 58 - 77) and one man (age 78). I am very disappointed in the fact that our reservation wasn't changed and that I am being charged for both room as a no-show. The gentleman at the desk was very apologetic but there wasn't anything he could do. But this certainly set our trip off to a very disappointing start.

The check in was fast, hassle free and the front desk staff was awesome especially Captain T! The room was ok but the bathroom shower wasn’t cleaned properly they left the clear top to a razor in the shower and the shower itself was old and needs some work done. We were only staying one night for a cruise the next day so we just dealt with it.

We were disappointed our room wouldn’t be ready until past check in time. 4 pm is already late to have as a check in time. The breakfast wasn’t the usual good Hampton Inn meal. No scrambled eggs, or hard boiled eggs , and the coffee was terrible. It was just ok .

Great Location and service
Stay was perfect for us. Needed a room for the night and location is close to everything and is very walkable. Hotel staff recommended a number of places to go and the Irish Pub was fantastic. Very clean and easy to get to and to check in and out. Definitely would stay again when in Tampa.
