Working AC in FL is a a must
First room that assigned me, the AC did not work at all, but after 30 minutes of waiting for Maintenance to show up, the Front Desk found me another near by that I could move too - AC was great, and the rest of my staff was uneventful.

The building is undergoing maintenance so it's a little loud during the day, but it was a decent building and the staff was really nice. Enjoyed the glass of champagne upon check in. We had an issue with a leaking AC unit and maintenance was supposed to fix, but the leak reoccurred that evening.

The AC wasn't working for hours,they promised they'd do something,I get back to the room and it's even hotter than it was when we left and they made us switch rooms in the middle of the night. Now they're charging me more money and for what? I called the concierge & they won't tell me why. Now I have to wait for a manager to arrive.

Property is very beautiful. Recently restored and very well done. Blocks from river walk. Front desk staff was very friendly. Complimentary glass of Prosecco at checking and chocolate chip cookies when waiting for elevators. Only draw back is valet parking only.

Great hotel for business, solo or couples
Hotel was overall great and will only get better. It has just finished a conversion to this very modern hotel with a retro vibe. Pros: - location location location - great speak easy on site - champagne at check in - valet parking - nice modernized rooms Cons: they seem to be more temporary cons due to their retrofit but... - hot water in shower takes a bit of time to get going - scaffolding still present from upgrades, seems a matter of time only - valet parking system has no way to notify them to get your car for multiple in and outs. - too many stairs without escalator on one of the 2 main entrances. Overall, the staff was very nice and although we did have an issue with the room initially, they rectified it, changed me room and made it right with a credit. Will add to my list of preferred hotels when I travel to Tampa
