The location and rooms were great. Unfortunately, we had chosen this property because it had a pool (Tamworth in December is HOT!) but the pool was out of use and we were not advised of this until we arrived and saw the sign. No attempt was made to compensate for this, which was disappointing.

We booked the cottage for extra space and it was worth it (for the space). Restaurant and bar closed which was disappointing - no mention of this at time of booking. On a main road - very noisy at night. Cottage had a terrible sewerage smell. Don’t expect wifi to work in the cottage, it doesn’t and when you contact reception they sound “surprised, this hasn’t happened before”. Would be great to have laundry facilities. Has potential to be better.

The manager was rude when I asked why he was photocopying my credit card, slammed it on the counter and said I “obviously don’t stay in hotels often”. Little does he know. He was so unprofessional during the time I was in the office. The hotel was clean and tidy but the under blanket was plastic and it felt like sleeping on bubble wrap! Won’t be staying here again.
