Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent, not to mention the great views. Problem is the room, uncomfortable and noisy. It is also very hard to get to the hotel, given the traffic and parking restrictions. Taormina is challenging, given its geography and the crowds. It is a place to visit once and not coming back.

Hotel Villa Paradiso provided us with the perfect place to stay and explore Taormina. The room was spotlessly clean and bright with incredible views of the Ancient Theater of Taormina, the coastline, Mt. Etna, and the Taormina Castle. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. We loved the luxurious breakfast on the rooftop every morning with great city views and impeccable service. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Many of the staff members have been there for decades and it shows -- the entire operation ran smoothly and we received excellent service at every point. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taormina!

The stay was very good. Breakfast was bountiful. The upstairs terrace is a terrific vantage point and drinks in the afternoon/evening are delightful. Oddly, the terrace was not staffed on one of our two days at the hotel which was disappointing.

We have mixed feelings about this hotel. The problem started when we arrived and asked to stay three nights instead of one. We were told we could stay only one more night but would need to change rooms. The first room was spectacular, with recently updated modern finishes and two balconies, one facing Mt. Etna. It was one of the nicest rooms we have ever had. The second room was not good. It was much smaller, had the old dated finishes, including a stained wood counter in the bathroom and no views at all. And the kicker was the rooms cost the same. It left a very bitter impression for us. Otherwise, one of the ladies at the front desk was very helpful arranging a beautiful tour to three local wineries. And the rooftop breakfast is first rate. The drinks and cicchetti on the roof are also great, with views of Mt. Etna with the sun setting behind it. The lesson here is to make sure you ask for a room with views of Etna, or at least in the updated portion of the hotel.

My husband & I decided to stay at this hotel during our visit to Taormina, Sicily. This beautiful property sits right in the center of Taormina making it perfect to get around the town super easily. Downtown or City center is only a 3-5 minute walk from the hotel which makes dinning & shopping so convenient. One thing we loved about staying here was that the hospitality of the owners and staff is unmatchable. Our room was on the first floor facing the garden view that overlooks the Ionian & Mediterranean Sea. As you step out the property and look to your left, you also have the scenic view of Mount Etna. From sunrise, sunset, to the moon & stars, the location is perfect to get a glimpse of it all. We absolutely loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation while in Taormina. This place is not just a hotel, it has become a place we can now call home. Thank you Raffaela, Andrea, and the entire staff at “Hotel Villa Paradiso” for the wonderful experience. Can’t wait back to return back to our home away from home.
