You won't be disappointed

El Pueblo went beyond anything we had expected. The staff was particularly helpful and welcoming, and the facilities had more than we could even use (hot tub, pool, corn hole, frisbee golf, etc.). The complimentary breakfast buffet had food to suit all diets, and someone even came around to refill your coffee. We really enjoyed it here and would stay again.

Expedia advertises rooms, "Standard King" with photos of two different classes of rooms offered El Pueblo Lodge with two different prices as set by the hotel on its website. The first photo on Expedia shows the larger class room, the "King with Fireplace" and some of the last photos seem to be of the "Casita King" a smaller room offered at a lower price by the hotel. We booked the Standard King assuming it was the "King with Fireplace" room based on the photos. Very misleading, to say the least.

Best hotel in Taos

The hotel was amazing, very comfortable and the rooms were awesome kind of a nostalgic vibe. The grounds are beautiful with great scenery and walking distance of shopping and restaurants. The most amazing part is definitely the breakfast buffet in the morning, absolutely amazing! Only place we will stay when we visit the area on future trips.

El Pueblo Lodge is wonderful! As others have mentioned, the breakfast buffet is a major highlight of this centrally located family owned hotel. We also spent a couple hours every afternoon lounging by the pool and hot tub, which was well needed after our morning hikes and nature outings. Another perk is they provide you with charcoal & other grilling supplies if you decide to use one of the 3 grills on the property grounds. Our room was spacious and cozy and we slept soundly during our 5 night stay. We're already scheming our next trip back to Taos and El Pueblo!

It is a unique property. Not fancy but very well maintained in the common areas and had a very nice feel. The lawns were green, and had horseshoes, corn hole, frisbee golf and lawn and patio seating. Breakfast had a good assortment of food, including mini tamales and burritos along with eggs, potatoes and fruit. Staff also went around and refilled coffees. Overall a very pleasant stay.
