Decent enough hotel and nice location to walk about, with a bit of breeze off the river to counter the heat and humidity of Guayaquil. A variety of places to eat and drink on the river walk, as well as the hotel.

This property is situated in front of the river and on the Malecon. It is a beautiful property with a spa that provides various services. I received an outstanding 1 hour massage by Doris and spent time in the steam room. The room was perfect with floor to ceiling glass windows. Breakfast has a wide spread of items and an egg station. The only disappointment I had was with my VIP Gold status reward. Carlos at front desk was adamant that I could get only a soft drink for my voucher but upon a return stay a week later, the front desk man said I could have a local beer. Mixed messages! Nonetheless, I enjoyed a lovely beer on my return to the hotel. I would definitely stay at this property again. Super stay.

Overall, very good, but the service for dinner was very slow and the waiter not as good as the rest of the staff who were generally brilliant - especially the front desk staff and the morning waiter, who couldn't do enough for us.
