Great Family Home in Taxco
I booked this home for my family of five and overall we were quite happy with our stay. The home is very spacious with every bedroom having a private bathroom. There's a rooftop terrace with excellent views of the mountains to the south. There are many beautiful architectural details throughout including handmade tile and woodcarvings. The furniture is beautiful and comfortable but the mattresses are firm. Soap was included but there was no shampoo or conditioner so be sure to bring your own. The home is located within a 5-10 minute walk to the center of Taxco and less than five minutes to the central market. Secure private parking is included with the reservation, but the parking area a five minute walk downhill on a busy market street. The parking is not 24/7 and closes from about 9pm to 7am. There are quite a few motorcycles and ATVs that create road noise that eventually quiets down at night. The town is built on a hillside so most streets are steep. There are no sidewalks so traffic mixes with pedestrians. This means you need to be aware of traffic from your second step outside. There is a step before the front gate but like most homes in Taxco after the front step you are immediately in the street with cars and buses passing by. Our stay felt like we were staying at a friend's family retreat in town, and for the money it is very hard to find something nicer or more spacious.
