The village Tao in the interior of Lanzarote, whose name means "power" in the language of the Canarian natives, is located on the slope of the volcano Tamia, from where a unique panoramic view extends over the island up to the steep coast Risco de Famara, one can even see the island La Graciosa in the background.
On the edge of Tao, idyllic and away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist centers of the island, you will find the historically significant and rustically furnished holiday home "Casa Rural Tamia", built in Canarian style.
The holiday home has a living room with sofas, a dining room with a beautiful wooden ceiling, furnished with a wooden table and chairs, a well-equipped country house kitchen with stove, microwave, mixer, toaster and fridge-freezer, 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have two single beds, the third with a double bed, and a bathroom with a large glass shower and toilet and can accommodate 6 people.
Wi-Fi, fans, a television with satellite reception, a baby bed and a high chair are also part of the equipment.
Outside there is a roofed, rustic bricked atrium with light inlets and benches, also a sun terrace is available. The view from the house and the outside area into the gently rolling hills of the surrounding volcanoes is unparalleled.
Around the house you will find black volcanic soil and numerous typical plants and flowers - the Canarian volcanic landscape is certainly one of the most beautiful memories you can take home with you.
There are 2 restaurants directly in the village, only a few minutes walk, some more in the surrounding neighbouring villages about 2 km away. There are also supermarkets, less than 5 minutes away by car.
To the "Playa de Famara", the nearest beach you drive about a quarter of an hour (17 km), there you have a wonderful panoramic view, but wind and waves are always strong. The quieter beaches of the east coast of Lanzarote can also be reached in less than 30 minutes by car.
The airport of Lanzarote is 13 km away, the drive takes about 15 minutes.
