A great stay at the Clifffden which runs like a family hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room very comfortable and clean.

The location of this hotel is ideal for walking into town, either through the beautiful grounds or via the main road. Nice big rooms and clean. We have stayed in this hotel a few times and I have noticed the last couple of times that the breakfast service isn’t as good as it used to be. If you get there after 9am there is very little left on the hot buffet, and once the beans and tomato bowls were empty they were not replaced. Apart from that all good

Very dog friendly
The rooms were very comfortable and clean considering its a dog friendly hotel. The shower gel in the shower was empty though so had to get out to get some from the bath dispenser. The restaurant service was not fast, be prepared to be patient! The food was fine, not great. The pool is gorgeous but cold, and no shower gel/shampoo etc provided in the showers at the pool but you do get toqels for the pool reom reception. There's a lovely walk down to the beach and you can continue from the accross the prom. This hotel is great for dogs. They are allowed everywhere except the pool area as long as they are kept on leads. There is a small enclosure you can let them off to have a run in which our dog loved and lots of grounds for walking.

Hotel in an excellent location, in beautiful surroundings. Room was perfectly adequate, if a little tired. Evening meal was disappointing. Rather expensive for what appeared to be very ordinary pub fare. And my main choices weren't available, as they'd run out of garlic! All a bit of a shame, as eating out options in the town were extremely limited

Lovely stay
We had a nice stay. The hotel is a little dated but clean and bed comfortable. The bedroom was very warm despite opening windows. All the staff were very friendly. Good selection at breakfast. Lots of parking. Beautiful grounds and access from grounds to lane leading straight to promenade.

Very nice hotel. Minor issues like asking where the pool was but then having to return to get the card to open the pool door and the towels. It would have been helpful to check if we needed that when we asked where the pool was. The pool table-wasn’t clear of cost then black ball didn’t come out. Minor things though. On the whole a lovely hotel-looked very friendly to dogs and excellent for blind people. Good food, nice bar.

I loved the gardens, the pool and its easy walk to Teignmouth sea front. Some areas of the hotel looked a little tired (for example in and around the lift) but I would still go back there, and liked the feel of the place. I was not 'wowed' by the food (evening meal), and had to send one main back because it was cold - but I have to say, their Sticky Toffee Pudding is epic!
