"I love this house! It was very clean, the location is beautiful, the decor and the rugs are amazing. The rooms and the furniture are so accommodating for a comfortable stay. In the evenings after sightseeing all day, we had so much fun playing games in the basement or cards at the kitchen table. We greatly appreciate that there were ample supplies of all the necessities. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

"Excellent communication with Host! She responded very quickly to all communication from me. The setting was lovely, and the cabin was well-equipped. The cabin is also in a convenient location to Ellsworth and Acadia! The complementary necessity boxes were a very nice touch! We also appreciated the nice linens and comfy beds. Take note that the larger bed is upstairs, and the bathroom is downstairs. Navigation can be a bit tricky in the middle of the night. :) The only thing that threw me was the title of the listing. I thought the cabin was new...it isn't, the listing must be what is new. Cleary, the owners are in the process of renovating an older property and are doing a nice job, but there is a little more work to be done. None of the remaining work negatively impacted our stay, however. We enjoyed our stay! "

"Absolutely loved the cabin. I could spend a lifetime on the front porch. Perfect location centrally located and an easy drive to Acadia. Ellsworth has all a person needs as well. Cabin was comfortable with everything needed for a comfortable stay."

"Our family booked this property fairly last minute for the busy summer months (1.5 month in advance) in order to visit Acadia National Park. The setting was peaceful, with its own private dock which we loved to spend time out on. The lake was clean, and quiet. It was great for stargazing, or listening for loons, which we were lucky enough to hear. The house description says it has 3 bedrooms, but the layout is such that it is really 2 bedrooms with doors, and the third is really the landing/foyer at the top of the stairs. Not a big deal, but worth noting. Also, the only bathroom is on the first floor, so if traveling with small children or anyone with mobility issues, it may be a consideration. These are not negative things, but something I always find helpful to read in reviews. The house was clean, with beautiful views. The AC was sufficient, and we used fans provided in the bedroom as well on the really hot days to circulate the window unit air from one bedroom to the others. It was about an hour drive into Bar Harbor, but we enjoyed pulling up to a quiet setting at the end of each day. All in all, I would not hesitate to stay here again."
