Lovely hotel, they upgraded my room and it was really clean and comfy - no issues there. However they charged me for parking but there were no spaces. And the entry from the car park with luggage is a bit of a pain. They also didn't actually check me in when I checked in, which caused issues when I got back that evening. All sorted out and they gave me a free drink, but it was still not the smoothest experience

Really regretted booking this hotel. I travel weekly for business and chose this one for its 24 hour check in because I knew that I would be arriving late and I paid extra for free cancellation. I arrived at 11pm after a very long drive and checked in to my room to find that there was no hot water in the bathroom. On reporting this to Reception, there had apparently been issues with the hot water all day, they had not mentioned this to me while I was checking in, and my only option for a warm shower was the pool showers which were now closed for the night. I do feel like this is a significant issue, and had I been informed of this, I would have cancelled my booking and gone to the hotel across the carpark instead. The next morning, the hot water was still not fixed, and I suspect the issue had been significant and going on for a while. While I appreciate that things do sometimes malfunction, the lack of transparency or communication concerning this issue before or after I arrived was very misleading, and having spent £142 for a 8 hour stay in a hotel where my journey times meant that I had no options for anything other than a cold shower was ridiculous. Not even a refund of any kind on the price paid!

The foyer and restaurant looked spotless. The staff that booked us in was friendly, although lacking information about the hotels facilities. The room was lovely, appeared newly decorated. The windows were old and let in some cold, but the heating was on all the time so didn't notice unless near the window. The heating was noisy and the bathroom although clear had mould on the grout. Of note also is there was no hot Wtaer by the time we showered about 11am. The swimming pool, etc were lovely, a little small but it was quiet. The changing areas weren't good at all though, cold, dirty, old and broken locker doors.

Had an excellent stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was quick and convenient. The room was cleaned and the bed made whilst we were out. Overall a good hotel. The only thing which was slightly inconvenient is the parking charge which was not very well advertised prior to arrival. It would be good if that charge was built into the room cost for at least 1 vehicle as based on location - it is unlikely many guests would not be parking there.

Room was dirty and floor covered in blood spots, pillows covered with blood marks. F&B manager Dean confirmed and was horrified, gave me a drinks voucher and changed my room. No one picked up phone at reception so had to go down 3 times as room was so bad
