Our first impression was good, however it went downhill from there. We booked a double and two twins (emailed to confirm - no response) we received two doubles (not okay for teen boy and girl), the bathroom was shabby (plaster coming off, shower broken, water cold, toilet not functioning well), not enough towels, ants, breakfast 25 min late (making us late for our first tour) problematic communication.
When we sought remedies for the issues, they were ignored or blamed on us: ants were in bathroom yet they blamed on our food which had no ants near or on it and was across the room; towel shortage and broken shower door were ignored; beds they determined were suitable regardless of our request; breakfast was due at 8am, they said we just didn’t respond but we were not contacted until 8:21, and we responded immediately.
We ended up leaving after we got the ants out of our suitcase, and had to book another hotel, costing us an extra $400, and the property refused to refund any portion of our booking (we only requested the two nights we didn’t stay, not the one we did) when we asked, and when hotels.com asked.
To say this experience was disappointing would be an understatement. It was a dark cloud on an otherwise lovely experience with the other 6 properties we have visited.
