The apartment is located in an idyllic, quiet location on the edge of one of the most beautiful villages on the Eiderstedt peninsula - the Wasserkoog in the municipality of Tetenbüll, exactly between St. Peter-Ording and Husum located in the north of the peninsula. Only 10 minutes from the North Sea.
This tastefully and comfortably furnished apartment was renovated and redesigned in 2016/2017 with great attention to detail. It is located outside the idyllic village of Wasserkoog, directly behind the old sea dike. In the south, the garden borders directly on the "Altneukooger" Sielzug (a picturesque watercourse that serves to drain the surface) and offers a wonderful view from the terrace over the landscape and vastness of Eiderstadt.
The former stable building for sheep and goats from 1925 offers modern cosiness in a historical ambience: traditional, outward-opening Danish lattice windows, wooden ceilings and rustic clinker tiles, combined with the comfort of modern underfloor heating.
With 2 bedrooms with 2 sleeping places each (1 double bed, 2 single beds) it offers space for a maximum of 4 people. A travel cot for the little ones can be provided on request.
The open kitchen with modern fitted kitchen and cozy dining area invites you to cook and chat together. The cozy sofa corner with a great view of nature (with luck you can see a rabbit or pheasant) makes relaxing easy. TV (satellite connection) and WiFi are available, but the apartment can also be rented without. Books and board games on site always offer variety.
The apartment near the Tetenbüllspieker is surrounded by a large property with old trees. The beautiful south-facing terrace with white wooden furniture invites you to relax and linger. All around pure nature, you can follow the flight of the wild geese, take dyke walks or watch the sheep and cows graze. Or explore and enjoy the beautiful Eiderstedt peninsula by bike.
You can walk to the main dyke in front of it and the bathing area with sunbathing area on the Everschopsiel in about 10 minutes. If you only want to jump into the North Sea without paying a visitor's tax, you've come to the right place. The beautiful sandy beaches of St. Peter Ording can be easily reached by car in 20 to 30 minutes.
The landmark of the Eiderstedt peninsula, the Westerhever lighthouse, is about 10 minutes away, the port cities of Husum and Tönning are 30 and 15 minutes, respectively. Here you can go shopping, eat well and discover one or the other museum. And of course fresh fish and crabs.
