The comfortable holiday house in a mountain chalet style is in a meadow at the edge of a forest, in a very quiet location, on a mountain road with little traffic and just one neighbouring house. It is just 3km from the little village of Katsch an der Mur.Comfortable holiday house in a mountain chalet style, with a conservatory and a fenced garden, romantically situated on the edge of a forest ideal for dog owners and families with children
The chalet provides 80m² of living space on two floors, with ample space for up to four people. On the ground floor you go through a little entrance and cloakroom area into the cosy living room-kitchen with a kitchen unit, an electric stove with an oven, an additional hob, a tiled fireplace stove and a sitting corner for six people. Right next to it there is a bedroom with a pine double bed (180 x 200cm), a flat-screen TV with satellite channels , a wardrobe and a high dresser. The living room-kitchen also provides access to the lovely conservatory on the mountain side of the chalet. This light spot has a little table and a bench, as well as a folding table, inviting you to sit and relax. There are stairs from the entrance area down into the lower part of the house. The WC with a mirror, washbasin and boiler is to the left. Next to it there is a little storage room, as well as a bigger, colourfully painted storage room on the right side of the hallway. At the end of the hallway you reach the big double room or “starry room”, with a canopy bed (200 x 200cm), bedside tables, a dresser, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a washbasin with a mirror and hairdryer. In the corner there is the entrance to the shower with a shower cubicle. The chalet is heated by electric radiators in all the rooms and by the cosy and very efficient tiled fireplace stove. Wi-Fi is available in all the rooms.
The conservatory has a door leading outdoors onto the terrace with solid wood garden furniture. The fenced garden surrounds the chalet on three sides. It is ideal for dog owners or for families with small children. On the right side of the chalet there is a wooden hut with firewood that you can help yourself to. Next to it, built into the slope, there is a spacious garage with space for one car, as well as rubbish bins. In front of the garage there is enough space for another car. In summer lupins and daisies blossom in the little flower garden.
The special charm of the chalet is its proximity to the farm just 200 metres away, behind a hill. The big pool (4 x 12m) is also just 150 metres away. So you can retreat and enjoy the peace and quiet, or take part in the vibrant farm life if you like.
The farm is a paradise for children, with a big play area with swings, a sandpit, a Wendy house full of toys, a football ground, a trampoline and a table tennis table. There is plenty of seating available, whether right in front of the house at the big table or at the wooden table under the chestnut tree. Or you can choose one of the many benches. The owners can serve you coffee in the afternoon while the children play. There are also many animals at the farm: horses, ponies, goats, a llama, hens and lovely kitten and a cute cocker spaniel. Katsch is just 3km away. It is a little village with 600 inhabitants, at the end of the beautiful Katsch Valley, where the Katsch stream flows into the Mur. It has a little supermarket with freshly baked rolls, a tailor, a couple of companies and many farms. The old Katsch ruin watches idyllically over the village. There are many mountain farms up to over 1200 metres above sea level, on the slopes of the surrounding Murtaler and Wölzer Tauern mountains.
