The staff member who checked me in was super nice. My only negative was that the room I had, smelled very musty, and like it had recent water damage. I have COPD so it was hard to sleep. I was coughing from the smell all night.

The only thing I would do is rethink the breakfast choice. The pancakes are horrible. I would change out for the waffle maker.

Wifi. Our room did not work, told front desk then they asked me to call the IT company I stayed in the phone 39 minutes and he said he took care of it wait 15 minutes and it should work now 15 hours later no WiFi.

The first desk individual was very accommodating and works quickly. We had mold on our sheets and he advocated to make sure we were taken care of immediately. We got a new room. We have stayed here before when going on a cruise and the man at front desk is always working hard to make sure people are happy.

Just.. wow. Yikes.
We arrived to a room that strongly reeked of mold, a shower with a broken / cracked tub, and bedsheets with a 2ft wide urine stain that had soaked through to the fitted sheet. The front desk clerk was extremely apathetic to these issues and seemed very irritated to have to make a phone call to housekeeping on our behalf. However, the housekeeping guy was wonderful and helped us swap out our sheets. I didn’t realize Best Western had devolved into a Motel 6 at some point over the last several years, it’s really a bummer. We will never stay at a Best Western again.

Nice large rooms. Very clean and comfortable. Easy check-in. I have stayed here twice before boarding my cruise in Galveston. Good price and breakfast is included!! Close to Galveston and a much better price than you can get in Galveston.

Good place. Owners are rude
Everything was great except the owners making a scene with a homeless man trying to get a free breakfast. He didn’t even get much. I would have loved to have given him my breakfast. But they have strict rules about carrying breakfast from the breakfast room. The gentleman was so well mannered and polite.

I was a little leery of this hotel when I read the reviews. Yes there is a mildew or mold smell in the hotel but I wasn’t horrible. And yes the customer service at the front desk could be better but overall it was decent and clean. I would stay here again for a short visit. The only huge suggestion I have is get better pillows on the bed. Those things were as flat as a pancake!
