We had a wonderful two week stay at this property. The staff was fantastic, and the suite was quiet, well-stocked, and cleaned regularly. The shuttle is phenomenal, and you can easily be dropped off and picked up at various locations (museums, retail, restaurants, hospitals) within a 2mile distance. The Rice Village is a great boutique type area to walk with a variety of restaurants (Kasr and Black Walnut to name just two great ones). We were never late to arrive at our appointments at the Mays Center, and never had to wait long to be picked up. My only suggestion is that for the suites there should be a tea kettle. And, for the breakfast buffet there should be a non-pork option for the meat -- either a turkey sausage or a vegan one.

Wonderful place not so great room service!
Everything was OK but the floor was a little dirty and we asked me to come in a couple of times to come in and vacuum it. She kept telling us she will have an offer to get the vacuum cleaner and vacuum myself, but she refused. She said she was coming but never came. I’m a little clean freak so that really kind of bothered me that we couldn’t get her to come in and clean the room and there was hair in the shower floor and we asked her if she could come in and wipe it down and she never came. Other than that. Everything else was fine. The people were somewhat friendly and it’s a nice place. They just I feel need better housekeepers.

Great stay overall, would definitely book again. Hotel has 14 floors, and although there for a holiday, seemed particularly crowded. Breakfast crowd was definitely hectic, but good quality food. Desk workers were very helpful and answered all questions with ease. Parking garage was definitely helpful especially in the downtown area, but $15 a night fee. Steep, but have also seen worse. Room was very clean and spacious.

We had a wonderful experience here! The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. It was quiet and very comfortable, and breakfast is amazing!! I did not like that daily cleaning is not a thing here, you have to request cleaning service 24hrs in advanced however, we could request extra towels at the front desk any time (for us, this was fine). Did not know about the daily parking fee when booking. Front desk said it comes out of your deposit and the remainder goes back onto your card. I was nervous about the few reviews that claim they didn’t have water in their room, but thankfully that was not our experience. Nonetheless, we had a good time, I would stay here again.

We love Hyatt.
This rating would have gotten an EXCELLENT. How we, the shower in room 821 was nearly inoperable. The lever does not stop the water from the spout, causing the water to fill up the tub while showering. It was difficult to navigate as our son is neurodivergent and expressed difficulty. With this repaired our stay would have been magnificent!!

My husband and I were there because he had surgery scheduled for December 20 to remove cancer from his kidney. Due to the holidays, we were there traveling by ourselves and I was very comfortable. I t was very clean very safe. We enjoyed the shuttle and transportation services to and from the hospital in the local areas. We were able to Enjoy it without having to worry about parking and walking because my husband tires out. I felt safe traveling back-and-forth to visit with him after his surgery and the service that was delivered with such love and compassion. You truly have two angels working the shuttle service. Questions at the desk were met with love, compassion and grace. I can’t wait to share our stay with friends who will be need a place when their needs bring them to the Texas Medical Center.
