"We loved our stay at Ellis Edge Cabin. We took our older grandkids for a couple days away with some winter hiking. The cabin was great and so close to Old Man's Cave where we hiked to Cedar Falls and back in a couple inches of snow. Upon our return the hot tub at the cabin was a big hit. The older boys battled for bragging rights at the pool table and enjoyed lounging and watching movies in the theater room. They even made use of the fire pit the first night. The host was very responsive to our questions and very congenial to work with. The entire experience was perfect. The one note to others would be to bring your own shampoo and soap for the showers as those are not provided. But there is a Walmart just 15 minutes away if you find you forgot items and a Kroger a few minutes from Walmart so you don't really need to bring a lot of groceries with you. Grandma Faye's is also close by if you want some snacks or ice cream treats. Highly recommend Ellis Edge for your stay."

"Away from everything, but that’s the point, right? Well water has strong iron smell so I would suggest bringing water to drink or cook with if you are sensitive. Overall, very pleasant stay (especially for a romantic getaway)."
