Find a cheap Hotel in The Wood

"The Beachcomber Hotel has an excellent location, across the street from a large park, with the beach just past the park. There is also restaurants very close by. Our room was a bit small but met our needs. There is not air conditioning, but a fan helped."

"We were only at Hotel Nelson for about 12 hours, selecting it because the front desk was open later than most other options and we had a late flight. The room was spacious and we were able to use the pool (nice) the next morning."

"I stayed in a private double room before and after the Abel Tasman Track. I was able to leave my luggage in a secure closet at reception for free. The hostel felt homey and had a nice community vibe to it. I credit the friendly staff for that. Towels and bar soap were provided, at least for the private double room. The walls are thin so earplugs are recommended depending on how loud your neighbors are. Kitchen was well stocked, free coffee and tea, and of course the free chocolate "pudding" (cake and ice cream) at 8pm. My only complaint is that the Hotels.com confirmation said check in starts at noon (which already seemed oddly early) but reception actually closes during midday and does not re-open until 3:30pm."

"Rutherford Hotel was better than our expectations. Beautiful foyer, great staff and great staff. Our room was on the 8th floor with a lovely view. Would highly recommend. "
