Between forests and vineyards, in a property of 700 ha with fishing ponds, the lodging of Orfeuilles, lodging of character for 12 people, is an old farm.
At 1 km from the nearest house - that of the owners - in a clearing in the heart of the woods, this set of 400 m², which can accommodate up to 12 people, is composed of a main house and its barn. Three bedrooms upstairs of the house, and 3 bedrooms on the ground floor of the barn.
Six complete bathroom in the 2 houses.
A small lounge cocooning in the house with a wood stove, and a large living room in the barn, with large openings to enjoy the ping pong table .
The kitchen, dining room is very friendly and well equipped.
You will be delighted by a refined decoration, made up of family furniture, and others found in antique shops, forming a harmony between mahogany, patina and exoticism.
During your stay, between moments of relaxation along the heated pool and private cottage, on the tennis court on the property, and the petanque, you also have a wide choice of board games.

Amazing trip
We have all had an amazing time at this property. Stephanie was fantastic with communication in the run up to our trip, and once we arrived we couldn't have had a better time. The location was ideal and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax and spend time together. I miss it already!

A wonderful retreat in Loire Valley
We spent a perfect week with family and friends and our dogs at the house. We took superbe walks in the beautiful woods surrounding the house and visited some of the amazing castles in Loire valley.

Special Family Holiday
We wanted somewhere special to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with three generations of our family (7 adults and 4 children). Gite des Orfeuilles met and exceeded our expectations. The setting is remote but incredibly tranquil, secluded and beautiful. It is a bit of a trek to the nearest supermarkets but we somehow turned this into an 'event'. Daily bread deliveries are reliable and early - and we discovered that the boulangerie also makes fantastic croissant, pain au chocolate and other goodies. . The gite complex offered everything we needed to be self-contained and fully occupied. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, so the pool was in constant use, but there were plenty of other diversions on offer for our grandchildren (such as boule, tennis, fishing, table tennis and space for the many games we brought with us) - and the separation from neighbours meant we never worried about the noise the kids made. The situation is also perfect for outings to sightsee, canoe and soak up the Loire/Cher region. Stephanie and David are charming, attentive and effective hosts. The arrival chat was friendly, informative and helpful, as were the information book and tourist leaflets in the house. Later in the week minor problems were quickly and effectively resolved without fuss. Checking out was straightforward - and it felt a little like saying goodbye to newly made friends. If this is the sort of break you are looking for, I can't recommend it highly enough; we loved it..

This house was perfect for a big family gathering. The pool was great, the house was well stocked with plates and glasses etc. and having two separate houses made it very easy for all age groups. Large comfy beds, lots of bathrooms. Thank you!

Great family vacation
The property is ideal for families with 2 spacious homes to allow for great family enjoyment. We all enjoyed the large property and especially the pool where the kids spent a lot of their time. You must order the baguettes and the croissants to complete the experience. Stephanie and David are excellent hosts.

Relaxing stay in a serene property
We stayed at this beautiful house with four adults and two children and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. The property beautifully set in the forest, but a short drive from everything the local area has to offer. Stephanie was a wonderful host and great communication throughout. The children loved the pony riding at the beautiful equestrian centre next to the property. High recommend.

From the start we had very good communication with Stéphanie. The property is as described on the website. Clean, very spacious, rural, comfortable beds, beautifully furnished. The barn with it’s games space, including table tennis and table football was a bonus for the children. The adults hardly used the indoor space at all except for preparing food and sleeping. Kitchen very well equipped. The pool was well used by all. Sitting out every evening sipping wine as we waited for the stars and bats to appear was fab.

An Amazing Holiday!
We were lucky enough to spend a week at this property and it was just what we needed. Stephanie and David are fantastic hosts and make sure that you have all the information you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The house and surrounding area was beautiful, set in a tranquil forest with opportunities to walk and enjoy the French countryside. It had all the facilities you could need. Whilst the wifi wasn't working during our stay (not the owners fault), Stephanie generously left us some bottles of wine to compensate! We had great fun in the amazing swimming pool and spent lots of time on the decking, playing table tennis and other games. This property and the owners are highly recommended and we would love to visit again. Thank you Stephanie! Andrew

Wunderschönes Haus mit toller Umgebung
Das Haus, bzw. das Haupt- und Gästehaus ist wunderschön, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber, super ausgestattet. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön, man hat seine absolute Ruhe und kann ausgedehnte Spaziergänge in den Wäldern machen. Eine Auto ist Voraussetzung um die tollen Städten, Restaurants und Schlösser zu erkunden. Stephanie ist ein super Gastgeberin, sehr aufmerksam, immer hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Das Haus ist eine absolute Empfehlung!!!

On est resté 3 jours sans bouger à 8 avec nos chiens. Environnement parfait au calme. Tout est fait pour passer un séjour sublime. Le seul léger bémol concerne le liner de la piscine et sa propreté. Cela ne nous a pas empêché de nous baigner. On recommande

Fantastische verblijf!
Een heerlijk vakantieverblijf gehad, verdeeld over twee woningen. Het is ruim, luxe, iedereen heeft een eigen badkamer en alles is aanwezig. Het zwembad is geweldig, ook ruim genoeg voor grotere kinderen, er is een pingpong tafel, jeux de boules, kortom, je hoeft je niet te vervelen.
