The hotel staff was great and that’s about where it ended. Checked into our room and it reeked like an ashtray. Turned around and went down to the office and got switched to another room. The room was very run down and in desperate need of upgrades and repairs. Paint peeling off, old carpet, possible mold by the sinks. It had a funky smell but at least it wasn’t smoke. Turned the AC on full blast and hope that the smell would get better by the time we came back to the room later that night. My first experience with a Red Roof Inn, and unfortunately probably my last. At over $200 a room I expected more.

Where would you like me to start?? Would it be the rash I woke up with from the itchy bed, the fact that this is a long term/ permanent residency motel, or that my room had a cockroach crawl across the vanity sink area this morning? Or should we touch on the subject that there were people completely stung out trying to get a room at 1130 and were turned away as the gentleman at the desk said he was ‘waiting for the guys outsides card to decline”
