Very short stay for business… got too the hotel in the evening so was not able to enjoy the views!
Eat at the restaurant which was really nice..!
Room was right next to pub entrance but still relatively quiet but regardless as the price was really great value
Stayed bere earlier in the year and when I was working in the area again I didn't hesitate to book in to here again.
The room was clean and looks like it has been refurbished recently (over the last couple of years) and was comfortable.
The pub and restaurant is nice with a reasonable selection on the menu to please most people.
The staff are great really friendly and helpful in both the pub and checking in side of the business.
In the spring or summer this would be a great place to stay and chill out next to the river and weir with a glass or three of your favourite drink in the sunshine.
We stayed here for one night in the family room. It was large and clean. There was parking on site and they even had food on the menu for my picky eating kids.

Good location
The location was very pleasant, being right next to the River EX. So close, that the restaurant get flooded on occassions if there are severe rain falls. In recent times, the water has been above the table tops shown in the picture! This should not distract you from staying there. The accommodation was very good, some showing their age. Rooms are larger than other well known stop overs and do provide private o/s areas for those times when the weather is good, allowing for relaxing. The restaurant itself was very clean and the food (breakfast) I had was well cook and was filling. The evening menu had a varied selection and was priced as to the current market. If you book direct, you do receive 20% off the bill. Ideal for business stay over, couples holidaying in the area, looking for a couple of days stop. Best though in the drier seasons :)

Riverside Tavern
Location was ideal, next to the river, staff friendly, helpful but the building needed tender loving care, more maintenance. It was raining when we arrived, water was pouring through the roof into the bar area, watering our beer! Other areas looked tatty, unloved but the food was great, wide interesting menu.
Great location on the river attached to pub with fireplace. Clean updated rooms. Large bathroom. Close to the Tiverton canal co and horse drawn barge rides!
This was my third time staying here, and have always found it to be friendly and clean. The rooms I've had have been spacious and homely. The staff are friendly and pleasant, and the food is great too with a lovely views of the river Exe
Beautiful location, overlooking the River Exe, our room was excellent. The Staff were lovely & friendly a special mention for Chelsea, who seemed to be working every hour of every day!
Plus the twins, Hannah & Kate, who served us.
Only down side for me was the selection of beers and the prices of drinks & food. Though, the bar & restaurant were always busy.
