We were told that if we signed up for the Crowne Plaza rewards program that we would be given preference for early check-in. So, I signed up. We arrived early hoping that we might receive early check in, but instead, we were not able to check in until 4 PM, a full hour after the check-in time. On top of this, the staff did not clearly communicate to us when we would actually be able to check in, and they offered no consolation for the delay. Since we arrived early, it took about three hours before we were actually able to go to our room. We were also traveling with two young kids (ages 5 and 7 years old). The instructions about the airport shuttle were also very unclear. We received an e-mail through Travelocity from the hotel that seemed to suggest the shuttle would leave at 25 minutes after the hour. Instead, the shuttle leaves on the hour. This was not clearly stated in the e-mail, and the staff did not clearly state this either until 5:15 AM the next morning when we were hoping to catch the shuttle to PTY. As a result, we had to take a taxi (which at least they readily had one available). Of course, that was supposed to cost $10. But the taxi driver had no change for the $20 bill I gave him. Good stuff. Other fun problems: the ceiling was not very insulated so we could hear people moving furniture around above us. The TV had cable but no possibility of digital content access, which would have been nice for our kids. There were not enough towels even though our reservation
