Mountain laurels surround this lovely authentic log cabin perched in a heavily wooded private area. A rushing creek can be heard from the rocking chairs on the front porch. Get away to complete stillness, yet if necessary always be in touch with Wi-Fi and cable through the flat screen TV. A full equipped stainless steel kitchen and full size washer and dryer will make the trip even more comfortable after a long day of hiking, kayaking or rafting. This is a non smoking, no pet vacation rental. The cabin has ceiling fans in all rooms but does not have central A/C.


Stay connected with WIRELESS INTERNET IN CABIN

A huge stone fireplace and log interior adorn the lower great room. A log staircase winds up to a loft complete with log twin beds. A queen bed is in the master bedroom. Nature and peace surround this cabin however the modern world with its ease is here with the gas fireplace, satellite TVs in the great room and master bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen with new stainless steel appliances. A laundry room with a full size washer and dryer are on the main floor.

This cabin feels away from it all, but has easy access roads to Boone, fly fishing in the New River, horseback riding, ski resorts (20 minutes away) and to superb dining and art galleries in West Jefferson just 10 minutes away.

No smoking or vaping inside or outside of cabin. No pets allowed.

Charming Cabin in the woods!
We loved our stay in this charming & cozy cabin. The neighborhood is wonderful..quiet & friendly. Cabin is close to West Jefferson, a really nice town to visit, as well as being close to Grandfather Mountain & other interesting places. Kelly is a great host..promptly communicates & had everything set up & stocked beautifully.

Cute cabin nestled in the woods on a very peaceful little street. Close to West Jefferson and also Hawksnest Snowtubing and the Alpine roller coaster. We had a great time.

Sweet get-a-way
A quaint, intimate setting in a lovely neighborhood. The pictures are 100% accurate. The house was very clean and tastefully decorated. If I might make one suggestion....we both felt that this lovely property would only be enhanced by lighting on the outside stairs...perhaps solar lights. We so enjoyed the outside firepit as well. I would recommend this property without hesitation.

We loved staying in this cabin and neighborhood in Todd. The house was a perfect size for a family of four and it immediately allowed us to relax after a day of hiking and biking in the region. Loved the cabin & location. Very quiet & relaxing. Soon as we arrived I opened the back door & there stood 5 deer. Saw them every day. Very, very clean & comfortable. I guess my only complaint would be the driveway. You can only pull in & back down the driveway. Would be easier if it had a spot to turn around in. Other tyhan that we loved the cabin.

Everything We Hoped
We wanted a "get-away" cabin with privacy and easy access to Boone and national parks. This property nailed it! Equipped with all needed amenities, we were able to eat and sleep in comfort, as well as enjoy rocking-chair serenity on the quiet, wooded front porch. The owner was extremely helpful. My only regret is that real-world work obligations back home, prevented us from being able to stay longer.
