Have been going to Sea Villas since the 1980's. Units showing their age, but location on the shoreline of L. Superior is great.

The best part of Lutsen Sea Villas is the serenity you will experience there. The sound of the waves coming onshore is so calming and you can hardly tell anyone else is there. That said, the property is quite outdated, which really didn't detract from the experience if you are looking for that rustic feel. The pool and hot tub were dirty (brown "dirt-like" substances at the bottom). But the kids enjoyed the splash area. At check-in I waited for at least 5 minutes before anyone came to help, and the guy just took my credit card and info and that was it. Didn't really tell me much about the property or amenities, which was quite disappointing since we paid a lot for a weeknight stay.

The actual condo was great! Gorgeous water views from the master. Our biggest disappointment was the indoor pool on the property. It was so dirty. Green going up the side walls. A good scrubbing and it’d be great but that really was disappointing.

Beautiful lake view from the master bedroom, a spacious loft with 3 extra beds, and a fire pit built into the rocks by the water, were highlights of this wonderful place.

Outdated, but ok
The villas are very dated, but the location is great. The windows in one bedroom didn’t open and close properly. The tv is quite small and very poor audio. I was a bit surprised that the pictures on the site were much nicer than the villa we had. Overall it’s a fine place to stay if you need a place to rest at night, but there are probably more updated places for the same price nearby.

Everything was great except I must have missed that the property did not have air conditioning. It was pretty hot upon arrival but luckily the evening cooled off and the breeze off the lake cooled the villa. Otherwise no complaints and would stay again!

The views are amazing. That's why people come here. The kitchen equipment was in good condition, which isn't always the case with rentals like this. Chairs and fixtures are showing their age, but everything was functional. If we come up for the bike race again, the sea villas will be on the list of places to stay, maybe for a bit longer just to have more time to relax with the most excellent view.
