My HQ is in Mitaka, and I always choose the Kichijoji Excel Tokyu when available. The dining options are great on property but you also have many great dining and shopping options within a 10 min walk. Convenient to the train station as well. The staff is on point and the hotel is super clean and safe. Yes, the rooms are a little dated, but they are comfortable and clean. I travel for business and pleasure more than 60 nights a year and its everything I look for in a hotel.

Although I highly recommend this hotel, what I did not like is Expedia did not offer the premium rooms and when we went to the front desk to request an upgrade, it cost us about 40,000yen more. If it was offered online, it would not cost that much, according to the hotel staff. Other than the cost, it was excellent
