Good location
The hotel is very close to train station. Good location to Shinjuku. The room is too small to put my 2 luggages. For single traveller, it is good for small luggage. The bathroom is good size.

The hotel is located very near jr line. Less than 10mins walk. There is a 7-11 beside it. And many food options near the hotel. The area is not crowded too.

Tiny rooms in a bustling shopping district.
Set in a ideal location with shops, restaurants and shopping centres within a very short walk. There is a laidback family style restaurant accessible via the hotel lift and Gotanda train station can be accessed right outside the front door via a set of subway stairs. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and check-in was easy. Free and reliable wifi is also available. Our room was very small (the entire building is) but otherwise it was clean and comfortable. Traffic noise kept us awake at night so we had to keep the window shut and the A/C on overnight. What this place lacks in size and space however it makes up for in location.

We enjoyed our stay, it’a a basic hotel so don’t expect anything too fancy; but the room was big for Japan standards, came with a washer/dryer, microwave, the amenities are of good quality, the staff was great and attentive, they speak English so our interactions went well. We paid a bit extra to have breakfast included, that you can have on the second floor at Jonathan’s which is a restaurant connected to the hotel and not managed by them. The breakfast for ok, enough to fill you and if not, you can pay extra for the other alternatives that are not included in the breakfast package from the hotel, the best part is that is served by a cute robot :) There’s a metro entrance just in front of the hotel and the train station about 10 minute walk. There’s a 7 Eleven next to the hotel and a Family Mart across the street. There’s a Don Quijote close by as well. And there’s also a supermarket and mall next to the train station so you’ll have some options like a dollar store, Uniqlo and Muji close by. So all in all, I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a fairly priced, clean, safe, convenient, no frills, good service place to stay in Tokyo.

Great location and quiet area. It is about a 5 min walk from Gotanda station. Theres a 7 eleven a few doors down which is super convenient for snacks and getting Yen from the ATM. Staff was great, they helped us get our luggage delivered to our hotel in Osaka. The washer/dryer was very convenient.

Tokyu Stay...the best!
We have stayed at Tokyu Stay before at Takanawa. Decided to try Gotanda. The room size is decent! We had a double bed and it was smaller than Takanawa where we had 2 twins. However, it met everything on my checklist and more. Washee/dryer combo, fridge and microwave. Added plus was extra sink and stove but didn't need to use stove. Room waa clean and all amenities were provided. Perfect location with nightlife and restaurants and grocery/convenience stores steps away. Train stations...no problem! Literally one right outside the hotel! 7-11 next door! Room and hotel extremely clean and wonderful staff! The price was also great!

Bad arrangement for housekeeping
Overall is fine but the arrangement and communication for housekeeping between the reception. The hotel should not expect the guest to take down the signage that says ‘your room will be cleaned the next day’. The person who put that should take it down if the housekeeping schedule is changed.
