The hostel is good. It’s well-located, close to the subway and Bloor. The area is clean and the kitchen has all that is needed for a quick meal. The problem was that on the first night, they put us in a room that had a solar roof and you couldn’t close it up. So by morning, the room was all bright as if the sun was in the bed. We complained and at first, they said they couldn’t do anything. Later that day, we talked to another staff member and they moved us to a very good large room. We stayed there for almost the entire period, but then on the day before checkout, they told us that we had to move since they’d booked the room we were in. They said it was because I had booked a double room but was in a twin bed room. We didn’t choose the rooms. I booked from my country and I couldn’t possibly have known about the rooms. Also, the later room we stayed in didn’t have air conditioning. When we asked about that, they said it was central AC. I couldn’t sleep that night because of the heat.
In summary, it’s well-located and we mostly liked our stay there but given what happened, I wouldn’t come back.
