Very clean and friendly staff/hotel. Really long lines when you arrive for checkin which is annoying but everyone is really nice and helpful! Good area with lots of options and things to do nearby. Just be prepared to wait a long time to check in

Woke up to a water fall of dirty toilet water from the room above us into our bathroom. Nobody at the front desk answered our calls for a half hour. Finally got hold of housekeeping, who already knew about the overflowed toilet in the room above us, but didn’t offer us any assistance. We just packed up our things without the use of a washroom, checked out, and finally got to talk to someone about our situation. The desk attendant didn’t seem concerned, just asked if we took a picture. She disappeared for a few minutes, and said the manager agreed to refund 1-nights stay, but didn’t even come out to talk to us. Nobody even apologized for the inconvenience. We understand that s**t happens (pun intended) but the customer service was not great, and that made us sad.

I've stayed at Chelsea many times over the last 40 years. It's good to see the place bounce back from the rough COVID years. Love the lobby Bar. The room we had was freshly renovated with new carpets and furnishings. Too bad Monarch's (The larger lobby bar) is closed. I used to like going there too.
